The SICK WTB11-2P2431 is a compact photoelectric proximity sensor designed for reliable, non-contact object detection in industrial automation and control applications. It uses visible red LED light and background suppression technology to detect objects within a sensing range of 20 mm to 350 mm. This technology helps the sensor distinguish the target object from the background, supporting dependable detection even when objects and backgrounds are at different distances.

The sensor operates by emitting a red light beam toward the target. When an object enters the sensing area, the reflected light is evaluated by the sensor, which generates an electrical switching signal when the detection conditions are met. Its sensing range can be adjusted using a five-turn potentiometer, allowing users to configure detection according to their application requirements.

The WTB11-2P2431 features a PNP switching output with light-on and dark-on operating modes, providing flexibility for different control systems. Its 10 V DC to 30 V DC supply voltage range makes it suitable for a variety of industrial installations. The compact rectangular housing and four-pin M12 male connector support convenient mounting and electrical connection.
