Product Description

The SICK VTE180-2P41182 is a compact and reliable cylindrical photoelectric proximity sensor from the V180 series, designed for accurate and non-contact detection of objects in industrial automation applications. With its M18 × 1 cylindrical housing, visible red LED light and energetic photoelectric sensing principle, the sensor provides dependable object detection while remaining simple to install and adjust.

The sensor emits visible red light toward the target object. When the light is reflected back from the object, the sensor detects the change in received light and generates a switching signal. This signal can be used by a PLC or machine controller for functions such as product detection, positioning, counting and presence monitoring.

The VTE180-2P41182 provides a sensing range of 1 mm to 800 mm, with a maximum sensing range of up to 1,100 mm depending on the target and conditions. Its 270° potentiometer allows convenient adjustment of the sensing range. The visible red light also makes alignment and setup easier during installation.

Its compact 18 mm × 18 mm × 62.5 mm dimensions make it suitable where installation space is limited. The sensor has an axial optical axis and a rugged cylindrical design suitable for demanding industrial environments.
