The SICK GTB6-P1212 is a compact miniature photoelectric proximity sensor from the G6 series, designed for reliable object detection in industrial automation and manufacturing environments. It uses visible red PinPoint LED technology and background suppression to detect objects within its specified sensing range. This allows the sensor to distinguish target objects from background surfaces, supporting consistent detection in applications where dependable positioning and object monitoring are important.

With a maximum sensing range of up to 250 mm under specified reference conditions, the GTB6-P1212 offers flexibility for different detection tasks. Its 650 nm visible red light provides a clearly defined light spot, while the mechanical adjustment spindle allows convenient sensing-range adjustment. The compact rectangular housing supports integration into space-constrained machines and production equipment.

The sensor operates on a 10–30 V DC supply and provides a PNP switching output. Its fast response time of less than 625 µs and switching frequency of up to 1,000 Hz make it suitable for monitoring moving objects on automated production lines. The IP67 enclosure rating provides protection against dust and temporary water immersion under specified test conditions.

The GTB6-P1212 is suitable for object presence detection, product positioning, packaging machinery, material handling and general factory automation. A 2 m, three-wire cable supports electrical connection, and the supplied stainless-steel mounting bracket simplifies installation.
