Product Description

The SICK GRL18SG-P1137 is a compact cylindrical photoelectric retro-reflective sensor from the SICK GR18 series, designed for reliable and precise object detection in industrial automation applications. It features a dual-lens optical system with a minimum reflector distance and uses a 650 nm visible red Pinpoint LED as its light source. The sensor is particularly suitable for detecting transparent objects, making it useful in packaging, conveyor, material handling and automated production systems.

The sensor provides a sensing range of 0.06 m to 6 m, with a maximum sensing range of 0.03 m to 7.2 m when used with the specified PL80A reflector. Its PNP switching output supports both light and dark switching modes, while the fast <500 µs response time and 1,000 Hz switching frequency enable dependable detection even in high-speed applications. With its M18 × 1 cylindrical housing, axial optical axis and compact 18 × 18 × 38.1 mm dimensions, the GRL18SG-P1137 is easy to integrate into machines where installation space is limited. A 270° potentiometer allows convenient adjustment of the switching threshold. Green and yellow LEDs provide clear operating and received-light status indication. SICK

The sensor operates from 10–30 V DC, has a typical current consumption of 30 mA, and supports an output current of up to 100 mA. Its IP67 enclosure rating, ABS plastic housing and PMMA optics make it suitable for demanding industrial environments.
