Product Description

The SICK GL10-R3811 is a compact, high-performance industrial photoelectric retro-reflective sensor designed for reliable and accurate non-contact object detection in industrial automation and control applications. The sensor operates on the retro-reflective sensing principle, in which a light beam emitted by the sensor is reflected back by a separate reflector. When an object interrupts the light beam, the sensor detects the change and switches its output accordingly.

The sensor is equipped with a visible red PinPoint LED light source with a wavelength of 625 nm, providing a clearly defined light spot for convenient alignment and reliable object detection. Its dual-lens optical system supports stable detection performance, while the adjustable sensing configuration allows it to be adapted to different industrial operating conditions.

The GL10-R3811 offers a maximum sensing range of up to 15 metres when used with the appropriate PL80A reflector, making it suitable for monitoring objects over relatively long distances. It supports a wide operating supply voltage range of 24–240 V AC/DC and incorporates an electrically isolated SPDT relay output for integration with compatible industrial control circuits.

Designed for demanding industrial environments, the sensor features a robust, compact housing with IP67 ingress protection against dust and temporary water immersion under specified test conditions. Its compact dimensions and 2-metre, five-wire connection cable facilitate installation in machinery, production lines, conveyor systems and material-handling equipment.
