SICK GSE6-P4212 – Photoelectric Sensor

The SICK GSE6-P4212 (Part no. 1061396) is a compact and reliable photoelectric sensor designed for accurate and dependable object detection in industrial automation applications. It uses a visible red PinPoint LED with a wavelength of 650 nm, providing a clearly defined light beam that makes sensor alignment and object detection convenient.

The GSE6-P4212 works on a through-beam sensing principle, where the transmitter and receiver are positioned opposite each other. The transmitter continuously emits a light beam toward the receiver. When the light beam reaches the receiver without interruption, the sensor remains in its normal detection state. When an object passes between the transmitter and receiver, it interrupts the light beam, allowing the sensor to reliably detect the presence of the object and generate a switching signal for the connected control system.

The sensor offers a sensing range of up to 10 m and a maximum sensing range of up to 15 m, making it suitable for applications requiring reliable detection over longer distances. A 270° potentiometer is provided for convenient adjustment during installation and commissioning.
