The SICK CM30-16BAP-KW1 is an industrial capacitive proximity sensor designed for non-contact detection of objects and materials in automated processes. It can detect a wide range of materials, including liquids, plastics, powders, granules and other non-metallic substances, depending on the material and installation conditions. Unlike sensors that rely on metal targets, capacitive sensors respond to changes in the electrical field caused by a target entering the sensing area.

With an adjustable sensing range of 2 mm to 16 mm, this sensor provides flexibility for different industrial detection tasks. Its cylindrical M30 × 1.5 threaded housing supports convenient mounting, while its flush installation design helps integrate the sensor into suitable machine fixtures and equipment.

The CM30-16BAP-KW1 features an AC two-wire electrical connection and supports normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) output functionality. Sensitivity can be adjusted using an 11-turn potentiometer, allowing the detection response to be adapted to the application. The sensor has a 2-metre cable connection and an IP67 enclosure rating, helping protect it against dust and temporary immersion in water under specified test conditions.
